#( carol's team is literally the most badass trio ever )

first and foremost i am putting this under a read more due to my opinion not matching with someone else’s. please note that this is NOT at all intended to offend anyone, this is literally just my opinion on how i’d put carol into the main plot along with the main avengers. i want to warn that it has a possibility of upsetting anyone who may think otherwise about my thoughts and that is the last thing i want to do.

PLEASE NOTE: this verse does alter tony and steve leaving the new york scene to go to 1970 to retrieve the space stone. this is merely my interpretation of how things would have went if carol danvers aka captain marvel would have been apart of it. ( this is also partially a vent as i do state my opinion as to why i changed several things )

first and foremost the entire beginning stays the same. carol arrives on earth like at the end of captain marvel and asks where nick fury is. they proceed to rescue tony and nebula, bringing them back to earth in one piece. they proceed to go find thanos where they kill him after finding out that he destroyed the stones.

after that, carol remains with the avengers on earth while occasionally returning to space for brief periods of time. however, she proceeds to spend most of her time on earth, especially when they contact her that they have the time travel plan. ( what makes no sense to me is how the russos make carol completely absent in the scheme of things when the plan the avengers came up with a plan that brings back the entire missing half of the universe ; carol would most definitely help since it benefits not only earth, but also the rest of the life in the universe )

carol leads her own team to retrieve the space stone. in this verse, pepper follows tony to new york again, leaving morgan in the care of happy hogan in her absence. also in this version, valkyrie returns with thor to the headquarters as well. so carol’s team consists of pepper and valkyrie ( i made it this way because these are two other characters i felt deserved more screen time in the movie as well ; please note that i will not force this on anyone! anyone who plays pepper or valkyrie have the right to decline or decide against going with this headcanon )

I DO WANT TO SAY that tony still decides to try and get the tesseract once they get to new york since it’s right there. so that scene with scott and tony doesn’t change, instead they just return without going to the 1970′s. it became more of a competition rather than a necessity for tony and his team to retrieve the tesseract. ( i really didn’t care for that scene much anyways since it basically erases everything howard did wrong and i’m just not too cool with that )

carol takes her team to 1995 right after the events of captain marvel, since she knew fury still had hold of the tesseract. they’re able to track down nick, break into a SHIELD stronghold and get the tesseract.

this scene entails carol being able to talk to nick who makes a snarky remark along the lines of “you returned and i didn’t have to use the pager” or something like that. it also gives her a chance to say her goodbyes even though he returns after the snap.

after they retrieve all the stones, they go into making the gauntlet in which CAROL is the one to snap instead of bruce. she doesn’t take much damage, rather than fatigue since she actually drew power from the space stone which is practically apart of her.

during the final battle, carol is there for the entire length of it. they pass around the gauntlet several times until it gets to her and the rest of the movie proceeds as usual.

in this verse, carol doesn’t cut her hair till AFTER the events of endagme

( i want to make a note that i didn’t touch on nat’s or tony’s deaths because a lot of people have different headcanons for that. i wanted to make this solely about carol and her placement if she were to help out! this verse is heavily divergent and can be changed / altered depending on the thread and muse! )
